Menards is one of my favorite places to shop, especially when the 11% rebate on everything is going on. Since I know when I’ll be heading to my local Menards, I make sure to tuck a few things in my purse beforehand: a pre-addressed stamped envelope, a rebate slip (I grab a bunch from the customer service counter at Menards and take them home) with my return address sticker on it, and a glue stick (I hate licking envelopes).
After I’ve completed my purchase and get my goodies into the trunk of the car, I tear off the bottom portion of the receipt, slip it into the envelope and seal it shut with my trusty glue stick! On the way home, I drop the letter in a postal box. This way I don’t lose out on the rebate due to accidentally tossing the entire receipt in the trash or losing it at the bottom of my purse.
Also, if I’m certain I’ll be going to Menards again, I’ll just tuck the rebate portion of the receipt in the envelope and keep it in my purse. When I’m through making all my trips to Menards, then I’ll seal the envelope and mail the rebates in all at once.
