You’re Allowed to Start Over
One of the hardest lessons I’ve had to learn is that starting over is not failure.
Sometimes life changes.
Sometimes priorities shift.
Sometimes we outgrow old versions of ourselves, old routines, old goals, or even old dreams.
And honestly? That can feel uncomfortable.
But there’s something powerful about permitting yourself to begin again — wiser, stronger, and more aware than before.
I think a lot of people silently carry pressure to have everything figured out by a certain age, milestone, or stage of life. The truth is, most people are learning as they go. We’re all adjusting, rebuilding, pivoting, and trying to create a life that feels meaningful and sustainable.
You are allowed to:
- change your mind
- take a different path
- slow down
- rebuild your routines
- pursue new goals
- become someone completely different than you were five years ago
Growth is not linear, and life is not a race.
If you’re in a season of starting over, I hope you give yourself grace. New beginnings are often disguised as difficult endings.
